Seasonal Stadium Security

About the role

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time event security personnel in New Orleans for seasonal work at festivals, concerts, sporting events and other big events. The role checks bags, enforces access control and applies venue policies to keep guests safe while delivering a great guest experience. The starting rate is $15.50 per hour with weekly pay.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare for and run each event day.
• Control entry: collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic in and out of the venue.
• Screen guests at entry by bag search, hand wand or metal detector and ID verification.
• Watch for security breaches at key checkpoints and protect guests, staff and venue assets.
• Respond quickly to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejection is warranted.
• Know the policies and procedures of each venue and give guests helpful directions and suggestions.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing may be required by state or local law before employment.
• Background investigation and pre-employment drug/alcohol test; extra screening if driving a company vehicle.
• Able to work overtime as needed and to use good independent judgment.
