Event Security Holiday Sports Crew

About the role

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time event security for holiday sports events in New Orleans. The crew works at festivals, concerts and sporting events, checking bags, enforcing access control and applying venue policies to keep guests safe while delivering great customer service. The starting rate is $15.50 per hour with weekly pay, and you can make your own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare for and run each event day.
• Control entry: collect and scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic in and out of the venue.
• Screen guests at entry with bag searches, hand wands or metal detectors and check IDs.
• Watch for security breaches at key checkpoints and protect guests, staff and venue assets.
• Respond quickly to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejection is warranted.
• Know the policies and procedures of each venue and give guests helpful directions and suggestions.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Good independent judgment and discretion.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Background investigation and pre-employment drug/alcohol test required; additional screening may apply if driving a company vehicle.
