Seasonal Facilities Technician

About the role

Midtown is hiring a Seasonal Facilities Technician to keep its Palatine club running smoothly during the busy summer season. The position runs from June to September, with a schedule of 6am to 10am on Sunday through Thursday. As part of the facilities team, the technician ensures a safe, clean and functional environment for members, guests and associates.

Key responsibilities

• Present a pleasant, attentive and courteous attitude toward members, guests and colleagues
• Identify and troubleshoot repairs to facility and fitness equipment on a daily basis
• Provide regular upkeep and maintenance of all club property
• Maintain knowledge of facilities and follow preventative maintenance standards

Required profile

• Minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance
• Functional knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for facilities and plant equipment
• Able to identify and troubleshoot facility and equipment issues
• Self-directed, able to meet deadlines, with clear written and verbal communication
• Certified pool operator designation highly preferred

Required skills

• Working knowledge of one or more of: roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry and/or painting

What we offer

• Pay of $18.50 per hour
