Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

Midtown is looking for a Facilities Technician to keep its Palatine club running smoothly. As part of the facilities team, the technician ensures a safe, clean and functional environment for members, guests and associates.

Key responsibilities

• Present a pleasant, attentive and courteous attitude toward members, guests and colleagues
• Identify and troubleshoot repairs for facility and fitness equipment on a daily basis
• Provide regular upkeep and maintenance of all club property
• Maintain knowledge of facilities and follow preventative maintenance standards
• Take pride in their work

Required profile

• Minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance
• Able to identify and troubleshoot facility and equipment issues
• Self-directed, able to meet deadlines, with effective written and verbal communication
• Certified pool operator designation highly preferred

Required skills

• Working knowledge of one or more of: roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry and/or painting
• Functional knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for facilities and plant equipment

What we offer

• Pay of $20.00-$25.00 per hour
