Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Answer Engine Specialist

About the role

The SEO & AEO Specialist will support the digital team of a leading go‑to‑market consulting agency. Reporting to the VP of Digital Strategy, you will shape search strategies and execute content plans for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep keyword research and build topic clusters aligned with client ICPs and buyer journeys.
• Develop and iterate pillar‑page and cluster content strategies across multiple accounts.
• Monitor organic performance using GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Semrush.
• Identify content gaps through competitive analysis and create editorial briefs.
• Apply LLM knowledge (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) to structure content for answer‑engine optimization.
• Track AEO metrics, implement schema markup, FAQ formatting, and authoritative sourcing.
• Write or edit SEO‑optimized content that matches brand voice and authority standards.
• Manage content calendars, ensure timely delivery of pillar pages and supporting assets.
• Collaborate with PR and demand‑gen teams to align content with earned‑media campaigns.
• Run competitive intelligence reviews and contribute to ICP analyses.
• Build Databox dashboards and deliver client‑facing performance reports.
• Tag and track content performance in HubSpot for pipeline attribution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SEO and emerging Answer Engine Optimization.
• Strong understanding of AI‑driven search, LLM retrieval patterns, and E‑E‑A‑T signals.
• Ability to work autonomously with digital teams and manage multiple client projects.
