About the role

The School Site Assistant provides essential support to Lathrop School on a part‑time basis (approximately 4.5 hours per day). The role involves working directly with school‑age children, ensuring a safe and organized environment during various shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise students in designated areas such as classrooms, playgrounds, and common spaces.
• Assist teachers and staff with daily operational tasks, including attendance monitoring and material distribution.
• Maintain a clean and orderly school site, reporting any safety concerns promptly.
• Support school events and activities as needed, adapting to shifting schedules.

Required profile

• Knowledge of or experience working with school‑age children.
• High School Diploma or equivalent accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Experience supervising students in a school setting is desirable.
• Ability to provide a signed Letter of Recommendation and a current résumé.
