School Nurse – Student Health & Education

About the role

We are seeking a qualified School Nurse to provide health education, counseling, and emergency care to students during school hours. The role involves collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction and individual health education and counseling to students.
• Provide emergency care for illnesses or injuries occurring during school hours, following standard first‑aid guidelines.
• Maintain accurate health information, records, and documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to interpret and address pupil health status.
• Participate in the development, management, and evaluation of a comprehensive school health program.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with proof required.
• Active, unrestricted nursing license (state, DC, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and successful completion of the NCLEX.
• Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must complete Selective Service certification.
• Pass a Tier 1 background investigation with Childcare Checks.
• Agree to random drug testing and direct‑deposit payroll.
