About the role

The School Nurse will manage and coordinate the school's health services program, operating the clinic in accordance with district policies, state and national regulations. The role focuses on promoting the physical, emotional, mental, and social health of students.

Key responsibilities

Assess scholars who come to the clinic for illness or injury and document all visits.
Provide prescribed medications, conduct vision, hearing, and yearly scoliosis screenings.
Communicate with parents regarding health status, referrals, and pick‑up needs.
Develop clinic service reports for the Health Service Department and maintain clinic supplies and atmosphere.

Required profile

Vocational or technical school certification beyond high school.
Minimum of 2 years of school nursing, pediatric nursing, or related nursing experience.
RN licensure preferred; LPN licensure required in the State of Georgia.
CPR/AED certification required.
