About the role
Charter Schools USA is seeking a dedicated School Nurse for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The nurse will create a healthy climate within the school, support the instructional program, and address the health needs of students and staff in alignment with CSUSA’s mission.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a complete, up‑to‑date health record system using available technology.
- Plan and conduct health screenings, examinations, and appraisals in accordance with state law and CSUSA policy.
- Monitor newly enrolled students to ensure compliance with immunization and medical record requirements.
- Advise and counsel students, staff, and parents on health issues and make referrals to school or community resources.
- Provide first aid and assist emergency caregivers as needed, keeping required documentation.
- Recommend health‑ and safety‑related improvements to the principal to promote a safe learning environment.
- Administer medication according to state law and CSUSA policy.
- Communicate health information to parents/guardians, staff, and community health organizations.
Required profile
- Ability to work and interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Capability to prepare comprehensive reports and documentation.
