About the role
The Roger Bacon Academy seeks a reliable part‑time school bus driver to transport K‑8 students safely on scheduled routes in Whiteville, NC.
Key responsibilities
- Follow all school, Department of Transportation, and traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre‑trip inspections, report mechanical issues, and keep the bus clean.
- Maintain student discipline in partnership with the bus monitor and report incidents.
- Load and unload students only at authorized stops and complete required accident reports.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license with CDL endorsement and personal auto insurance.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions.
Required skills
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Basic vehicle safety inspection and reporting.
