Sales Representative - Sustainability Solutions

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Sales Representative for its Sustainability Solutions business in Philadelphia, PA. The role promotes and sells a portfolio of technical and reprocessed medical products to new and existing customers, including hospitals and healthcare facilities. It is an individual contributor position with minimal supervision, combining in-office work with field visits, and is 100% commission with eligibility for bonuses and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff, explaining the environmental and financial benefits of the programs
• Tailor action plans to customer needs, achieve revenue goals and grow the territory
• Foster long-term partnerships and deliver value on evolving customer needs
• Take part in or lead business reviews and presentations to influence stakeholders
• Stay current on products, market trends and competition
• Work cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns, support product training and ensure program implementation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or at least four years of equivalent professional experience in sales or a related field
• 2-5 years of outside commercial sales with a demonstrated record of achievement
• Effective verbal and written communication, and strong relationship-building, negotiation and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and travel 80-100 miles per day; willingness to use PPE such as gowns, masks and gloves in hospitals

Required skills

• Preferred: background in the medical device industry and familiarity with operating rooms or hospital operations
• Preferred: CRM proficiency for tracking sales and forecasting
• Preferred: presentation skills, analytical skills and self-motivation to work independently
• Preferred: competence with smart devices, office equipment and Microsoft Office
