Sales Manager

About the role

The client is a premier event and gaming destination in Southern Oregon seeking a proactive Sales Manager to grow group, convention, and event business for its resort and 25,000‑square‑foot convention center. This role focuses on building an outbound sales engine and developing market relationships across the Pacific Northwest.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and convert new group, convention and event business for the resort and convention center.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate, association and meeting‑planner accounts throughout the Pacific Northwest.
• Collaborate with an on‑property Sales Coordinator while spending significant time in‑market to generate demand.
• Travel to the resort as business needs require, supporting sales activities and client visits.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of hotel, resort, convention or group‑sales experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the Pacific Northwest meetings, conventions and group‑sales market.
• Hunter mentality with proven ability to build a territory, create target‑account lists and open new relationships.
• Existing relationships with corporate, association or group accounts in the region are highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proven ability to sell meeting space, guestrooms, banquet/event products.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Self‑motivation to work independently in a remote/market‑based environment while staying connected to the on‑property team.
