Sales Associate (Retail)

About the role

The Sales Associate will drive sales and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers at the GUESS store in Riverhead, NY. You will be the front‑line representative, greeting guests, providing product information, and maintaining store standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly with a friendly, non‑business‑like approach.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and fitting rooms.
• Provide accurate product information and suggest add‑on items.
• Operate the cash wrap efficiently, process transactions, and capture customer data.
• Thank customers sincerely as they leave the store.
• Complete assigned housekeeping and visual presentation tasks.
• Meet or exceed sales‑per‑hour targets set by management.
• Participate in inventory counts, store meetings, and other scheduled functions.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Team‑oriented mindset with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand eight hours, lift over 30 lb, and perform frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
