Safety and Risk Management Postdoctoral Research Fellow

About the role

This two‑year fellowship, offered in partnership with Northeastern University, provides a post‑doctoral researcher the opportunity to work on safety and risk management for Alnylam’s RNAi therapeutics platform. The fellow will gain deep experience in pharmacovigilance and risk management while collaborating with industry scientists and academic mentors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide scientific and strategic assistance to Safety Product Leads for Alnylam products.
• Collect, interpret, and present safety data in internal forums.
• Support signal detection and management activities with Lead Safety Physicians and PV scientists.
• Author safety aggregate reports such as PBRERs and DSURs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of Risk Management Plans.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE‑accredited institution.
• Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in Massachusetts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time‑management and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently on projects at both the industry site and Northeastern.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance processes and regulations.
• Data analysis and reporting skills for safety aggregate documents.
