RPS Core Wholesaler (Remote)

About the role

This is an external wholesaling position for the Houston, TX area, focused on core market retirement plan sales from startup to $2 million in assets. It distributes FutureStep, Signature, Enterprise and FutureChoice products through financial advisors and third-party administrators, positioning value drivers alongside recordkeeping sales. The role is remote, and the vacancy is open.

Key responsibilities

• Be proficient in all John Hancock RPS products, service models and ancillary benefits, and in Core product features and benefits.
• Assist with RFP preparation when requested.
• Work with internal audiences such as Core and Mid/Large Market RVPs, sales desks, SRMs, DVPs, National Accounts and SMEs.
• Engage external audiences including advisors and consultants, plan sponsors and committees, participants, TPAs and DCIOs.
• Take part in sales preparation and provide technical, ERISA consultative sales support, mainly to financial advisors and consultants.
• Stay current on plan design and qualified plan legal developments, recommend improvements to prospect plan designs and operations, and interpret plan documents and SPDs.
• Know competitor products and services.

Required profile

• Active and maintained Series 6, 63 and Life and Annuity licenses.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of industry experience, with 3+ years of proven ability in ERISA, communications, operations and implementation, or external retirement plan sales.
• Ability to travel up to 80%.

What we offer

• Expected salary range of $100,000 to $175,000 USD, with incentive compensation tied to performance.
