RN Weekender Flex – Neuro Transitional Care Stepdown

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Neuro Transitional Care Unit on a Weekender Flex schedule. The RN will work two 12‑hour weekend shifts and one 12‑hour weekday shift, providing 36 hours of service while being compensated for 44 hours with full‑time benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high‑acuity neurological patients, including monitoring intracranial pressure and seizure activity.
• Implement, evaluate, and update patient care plans, ensuring safe administration of medications and treatments.
• Perform specialized procedures such as lumbar punctures, central and arterial line placements, and assist with early mobility using ceiling lifts.
• Educate patients, families, and visitors, and coordinate discharge planning.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including weekends.

Required skills
