About the role

The RN Weekender Flex position in the ICU at Lutheran Hospital offers a unique schedule: two 12‑hour weekend shifts and one 12‑hour weekday shift, totaling 36 hours of work while being paid for 44 hours with full‑time benefits. You will provide direct patient care in a 10‑bed critical care unit supporting complex medical and surgical cases.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for critical care.
At least one year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.
Ability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and handle physical demands of the role.

Required skills

RN licensure (state).
