RN – Surgical & Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This night‑shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) provides direct, patient‑centered care to individuals recovering from heart transplants, cardiothoracic surgeries, and other critical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to 1‑3 patients, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient conditions.
• Implement, update, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge needs, and post‑hospital instructions.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a current state RN license.
• Minimum one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification required within one year of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BLS (American Heart Association).
• Proficiency in ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Ability to perform full range of patient handling and manual dexterity required for ICU nursing.
