RN Surgery Weekender Flex – Liver OR

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as a RN in the Liver Operating Room, working a Weekender Flex schedule that provides 36 hours of work per week with full‑time status and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Perform scrub functions, including selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions, monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition before, during and after procedures.
• Assist the operating physician with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• One year RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic peri‑operative residency.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.

Required skills

• RN licensure and clinical nursing skills.
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing in the operating room.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS.
