About the role

The RN Surgery Resident position in the Vascular OR offers new graduate nurses the chance to develop expertise in both circulating and scrub nursing within a world‑class vascular surgery department.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and act as patient advocate throughout surgical procedures.
  • Participate in a residency core curriculum and work alongside a success coach.
  • Prepare instruments, set up the operating room, and manage complex procedural workflows.
  • Document patient care accurately in medical records and respond to clinical data indicating risk.

Required profile

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
  • Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience (BSN preferred).
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift patients and handle instruments for extended periods.

Required skills

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid RN license.
  • Proficiency in sterile technique and instrument handling.
  • Accurate clinical documentation.
