RN Supervisor – OLGMC 9W Med Tele – Full‑Time Nights

About the role

This position serves as both a supervisor and direct care provider for patients on the OLGMC 9W Med Tele unit during night shifts. The RN Supervisor evaluates nursing interventions, coordinates the healthcare team, and ensures high‑quality patient care throughout the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications, start IVs, and coordinate patient discharges with the care team.
• Organize, plan, and supervise coordinated patient care, delegating tasks to nurses and technicians.
• Promote evidence‑based nursing protocols and resolve conflicts, collaborating with unit leadership as needed.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and clinical supplies to maintain effective daily operations.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required for Ochsner Magnet facilities.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (or 2 years LPN experience) in an acute‑care setting.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
