RN Supervisor – MedSurg/Tele – Night Shift

About the role

The RN Supervisor provides direct patient care while leading a team of nurses and technicians on the MedSurg/Tele unit during night shifts. This position combines hands‑on clinical work with supervision, coordination, and quality improvement responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications, start IVs, and coordinate patient discharges.
• Organize, plan, and supervise coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Develop, evaluate, and mentor assigned nursing staff and patient care technicians.
• Manage conflict, ensure appropriate staffing, and maintain clinical supplies.
• Collaborate with quality, safety, and experience leadership to promote patient safety and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required for Ochsner Magnet facilities.
• At least 1 year of RN experience or 2 years of LPN experience in acute care.
• Current state RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
