RN Supervisor – Med Surg – Full‑Time Night

About the role

The RN Supervisor will lead the OAGH Medical‑Surgical unit during night shifts, ensuring high‑quality patient care and efficient unit operations. This position coordinates nursing interventions, supervises staff, and acts as a key communication link between the Unit Director, clinicians, and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver patient care and coordinate clinical operations on the unit.
• Communicate critical issues to appropriate parties and manage employee development.
• Oversee resource utilization, including human, environmental, and material assets.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to meet the specific needs of the patient population.
• Facilitate effective discharge planning and serve as liaison with Clinical Nurse Specialists.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including compliance with safety and privacy standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse diploma (required); Associate’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in a fast‑paced, stressful healthcare environment.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
