RN Resident – Geriatric Psychiatry (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital seeks a night‑shift RN Resident to join its Geriatric Psychiatry unit, caring for patients 55 and older with complex mental health needs. You will provide direct nursing care throughout the patient journey, from assessment to discharge, while supporting families and educating them as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, including medication administration and treatment implementation.
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient conditions, communicate changes to the care team, and follow physician orders.
• Assess discharge needs and coordinate appropriate follow‑up services.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for critical‑care areas within the first year.
• Less than one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• Medication administration.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) techniques (if applicable).
