About the role
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health North provides post‑operative vascular and thoracic care for patients stepped down from the ICU. This night‑shift RN position offers direct patient interaction, education, and the use of advanced technology in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to post‑operative patients.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families about care and recovery.
Required profile
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (preferred).
