About the role

The RN Program Coordinator III provides education and support to surgical patients before and after procedures, focusing on spine, orthopedics, bariatric, colorectal and general medical‑surgical populations. The position works daytime hours with no weekends, holidays or on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

Educate patients on pre‑operative instructions, post‑operative care, pain management, mobility expectations and recovery plans.
Collaborate with physicians, physical and occupational therapists, and case managers to promote safe recovery and successful discharge.
Monitor post‑operative progress, reinforce clinical protocols, and provide staff education on post‑surgical care standards.

Required profile

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Minimum five years of clinical RN experience.
Knowledge of healthcare systems and strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Required skills

Full range of body motion for patient handling and lifting.
Ability to stand and walk frequently; corrected vision and hearing.
