About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide post‑operative surgical and orthopedic care. The RN will use the Nursing Process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high‑quality patient outcomes in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while managing resources.
Educate patients and families, adapting communication to diverse cultural and religious needs.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

Computer data‑entry skills for retrieving and recording patient information.
Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and related software packages.
