RN – Orthopaedic/Spine Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital’s General Surgery 5D Unit as a New Graduate RN Resident caring for bariatric, neurology, spinal and orthopaedic surgery patients. You will work day/evening rotations and collaborate with a success coach to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and document patient records.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, preference and resource availability.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.
• Seek supervision or assistance when needed to ensure safe independent practice.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum and simulation labs.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Physical ability to lift patients and work under stressful, irregular hours.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
