RN NICU Nights PRN

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a registered nurse for night shifts in its NICU in Hendersonville, North Carolina, on a PRN basis. The nurse provides care for newborns and leads and mentors staff to ensure optimal performance and competency in care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct holistic, individualized assessments of each patient, considering age, physiological and psychological status.
• Administer commonly used drugs and solutions in Cardiology and Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate patient care across disciplines.
• Accurately and promptly carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition, document patient status and participate in patient transfers and discharge planning.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and build positive working relationships across departments.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of NICU nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs.
• Participation in the S.T.A.B.L.E. program for nurses working with newborns preferred, and in the C.O.R.E. program for primary NICU care; both may be obtained after hire.

Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the unit or state. The pay range is $31.96 - $50.62.
