RN New Grad – Residency for Select Units

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking newly graduated registered nurses to join a residency program across multiple locations. This role provides a structured learning environment where you will deliver patient care, develop clinical expertise, and contribute to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring quality outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in unit and department initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and nursing practice.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• No prior work experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
