About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care on the MedSurg/Telemetry unit at Ochsner Baptist during night shifts, following the nursing process and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients and families.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Use data and evidence to promote change and achieve optimal outcomes.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
No prior work experience required.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
Good judgment and ability to work independently.
