About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse on a Med/Surg Post‑Op unit, providing full‑time day shift care. You will deliver patient‑centered care using the Nursing Process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring quality outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, adapting communication to diverse cultural and religious needs.

Required profile

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data entry for patient information.
Computer skills for retrieving and documenting patient data.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
