RN – Medical/Surgical and Telemetry

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work on the 7th Floor Med/Surg and Telemetry Unit at South Pointe Hospital, providing comprehensive care to adult patients with a variety of diagnoses. The role involves direct patient interaction from admission through discharge, education, and collaboration with the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, implement and update patient care plans, and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, document physician and nursing orders, and coordinate discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience (military RN experience considered).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform full range of body motions, lift patients, and work under stressful conditions.
