RN - Medical ICU

About the role

This position leads patient care in the Medical ICU, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members while promoting high‑quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary groups.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to respect patient privacy, cultural preferences, and communication styles.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication, strong organization and time‑management skills.
