RN Med Surg Oncology/Chemo Certified Contract - Nights

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a certified Registered Nurse for a Med Surg Oncology/Chemo contract position on nights, working 36 hours per week at PRN schedule. The role is based in Parker, Colorado, and pays $85 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, collect and document health data, and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care aligned with interdisciplinary goals
• Implement interventions safely and timely, and collaborate on patient admission, discharge and transfer
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families on their conditions and care plans
• Participate in peer review, quality and safety initiatives, and act as a patient advocate
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly, perform hand hygiene and ensure safe handoff communication

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing)
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required; Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) preferred
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on the unit or state

Required skills

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs
