Med Surg/Tele RN Contract - Night Shift, 36 hrs/wk

AdventHealth is hiring a Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse for a contract assignment on nights, 36 hours per week, in Parker, Colorado. The pay is listed as $80.60 per hour, within a stated range of $15.00 to $130.00.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking appropriate to the patient's level of care and collect and document patient health data systematically and timely.
• Assess patients thoroughly, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care aligned with interdisciplinary goals.
• Implement interventions from the plan of care safely and document actions taken.
• Follow hospital policy for patient admission, discharge and transfer, and participate in peer interviewing and peer review.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families on their conditions, procedures and care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff, and act as a patient advocate.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, quality, safety and infection control (CDC isolation guidelines, PPE, hand hygiene).
• Ensure safe handoff communication and documentation, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license; additional licensure or certification may apply depending on unit or state.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required; Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) preferred.

Required skills

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions and revise plans of care.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs.
