Med Surg / Tele RN Contract - Days, 36 hrs/wk

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Med Surg / Tele RN for a day shift contract in Parker, Colorado, working approximately 36 hours per week. The advertised pay is $75.60 per hour, within a stated range of $15.00 to $130.00.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, collect and document their health data, and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Implement interventions safely and timely, and collaborate on patient admission, discharge and transfer
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families on conditions, procedures and care plans
• Participate in peer review, quality and safety initiatives, and act as a patient advocate
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly, perform hand hygiene and ensure safe handoff communication

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing)
• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care
• Ability to use Microsoft Windows programs

Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the unit or state; the Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) course is preferred.
