About the role

Join Ochsner Extended Care on Jeff Highway as a Registered Nurse in a Long‑Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) providing medical‑surgical care. This full‑time, days‑shift position offers a $30,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
• Participate in unit and departmental initiatives to achieve strategic goals and improve nursing practice.

Required profile

• Education: RN diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Licensure & Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
