RN Lead House Supervisor - Registered Nurse

About the role

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, Florida is hiring a full-time day-shift RN Lead House Supervisor. The role manages hospital personnel and resources to meet standards, goals and department requirements, and provides clinical and administrative supervision after regular business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Make regular rounds to identify problems and facilitate their efficient resolution
• Review reports on hospital activity and act on them appropriately
• Support and implement established nursing care standards
• Attend regular management meetings to resolve problems, share information and plan
• Coordinate resources to handle unanticipated situations and act as a clinical resource and educator
• Perform bed placement coordination and patient rounding, and handle service recovery for patient and family complaints
• Complete employee yearly evaluations and payroll for the department
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision after regular hours and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's preferred
• 3+ years of acute care experience (required)
• RN House Supervisor experience (required)
• FEMA training completed within six weeks of hire (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
• Preferred: 3+ years of nursing management experience, EPIC documentation, and a nursing degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Ultrasound Technology, Respiratory Care, Nursing, Radiology or Nuclear Medicine

Required skills

• Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures and the legal aspects of acute care nursing
• Effective communication in English, verbal and written
• Basic computer skills, including an electronic health record
• Bedboard management and bed assignments
• Ability to serve as Incident Commander

Pay range: $37.76 - $70.23. Florida Level 2 background screening applies. The facility is an equal opportunity employer.
