About the role

Join the Labor & Delivery team at Indian River Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Health System facility on Florida’s Treasure Coast. This PRN position provides night‑time care for mothers and newborns, supporting a family‑centric, low‑cesarean environment.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns.
Implement, monitor, and update patient care plans.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Document patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team.
Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Assess and coordinate discharge needs.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

Current RN license in Florida.
BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
