RN Labor & Delivery – 0.9 FTE Night Shift with Call

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work in the New Life Center, providing labor and delivery/perinatal care on a night shift (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) with on‑call responsibilities. You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering a warm, family‑centered birth experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of maternal and infant patients, including psychological and educational needs.
• Administer nursing care, treatments, and medications while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans, act as patient advocate, and communicate changes in condition promptly.
• Participate in unit coordination, committee work, and nursing grand rounds, ensuring compliance with JCAHO core measures.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ALS certification within one year of hire.
• Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation techniques.
• Ability to assess and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Competence in medication administration and documentation.
