RN – ICU – Night Shift

About the role

Join Ochsner’s ICU team in Kenner as a Night Shift Registered Nurse. You will lead patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in the ICU using the nursing process and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Utilize data and evidence to promote change and improve care delivery.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
