About the role

Join Ochsner’s Medical ICU team to provide critical care to patients on the Jeff Hwy campus. This full‑time position is designated as a Shift of Greatest Need, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a compassionate, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Use data and evidence‑based practice to evaluate outcomes and promote improvements.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Current RN license in Louisiana and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Demonstrated professional responsibility, accountability, and cultural sensitivity.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
