RN Float Pool – Day Shift

About the role

Join the Nursing Float Pool at Indian River Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Health System facility on Florida’s Treasure Coast. This full‑day position (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) allows you to work across multiple units, providing direct patient care and gaining experience in diverse clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Implement, monitor, and update patient care plans while documenting patient conditions and progress.
• Assess discharge needs, educate patients and families, and coordinate care transitions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and at least one year of acute‑care hospital experience (or equivalent military RN experience).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients and moving equipment (20‑50 lb occasional, 10‑25 lb frequent).
