RN – Emergency Department – Mid Shift – West Bank

About the role

The Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care on the mid‑shift West Bank, leading a multidisciplinary team while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and hospital standards. This position emphasizes quality outcomes, cultural sensitivity, and alignment with unit strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to ensure safe, efficient care delivery.
• Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required within specified time frames after hire.
• Ability to lift 10‑50 lb regularly and handle occasional heavier loads.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 90 days of hire).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 90 days of hire).
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (within 30 days of hire).
