About the role

The Clinical Decision Unit at Indian River Hospital provides observation care for patients awaiting discharge or readmission. As an RN you will deliver direct nursing care, support patient recovery, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
Monitor, document and communicate patient conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
Assess discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
Ability to perform full range of motion patient handling and manual dexterity.
