RN Cath Lab Recovery & Critical Care

About the role

AdventHealth in Sebring, Florida is hiring a full-time day-shift Registered Nurse for its Cath Lab Recovery and Critical Care unit. The nurse documents patient care, responds to emergencies, follows equipment and procedure protocols and supports the radiology team during procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Document appropriately in the patient's medical record and respond appropriately during emergencies
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and follow proper procedure protocols, including radiation protection measures
• Maintain harmonious working relationships with physicians and other staff
• Assist the Radiology team in meeting patient needs during procedures and accurately record charges
• Administer IVs, medications and contrast material under the supervision of the attending physician
• Assess patient status on arrival and throughout the pre- and post-recovery phase, updating the physician of any potential life-threatening changes
• Attend all hospital and departmental meetings and mandatory in-services
• Follow aseptic technique standards and support hospital and departmental policies

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN); Associate's degree in nursing required, Bachelor's preferred
• 2+ years of relevant clinical experience required; 2+ years of critical care experience preferred
• BLS (CPR) certification and ACLS certification required
• Knowledge of interventional procedures, documentation, communication, problem-solving and critical thinking

Pay range: $32.48 - $56.84. Applicants may be subject to a Florida Level 2 background screening.
