RN – Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 24‑bed Cardiovascular Telemetry Units (J52 and J62). This PRN night‑shift position (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) provides direct care to post‑operative cardiac surgery patients and individuals with advanced heart failure, including those supported by ventricular assist devices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, and document patient conditions.
• Execute physician and nursing orders, coordinate discharge planning, and communicate changes in patient status to the care team.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program with current RN licensure in the state.
• Two years of recent related nursing experience (external candidates) or internal candidates with less than two years may be considered after orientation.
• Successful completion of pre‑screen competency assessments and ability to work under stressful, irregular hours.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for critical‑care areas (must be presented upon hire or within the first year).
• Experience caring for patients with ventricular assist devices, LVADs, or total artificial hearts is preferred.
