About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Surgery Stepdown Unit. This PRN night‑shift position (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) provides post‑operative care for patients undergoing coronary artery bypass, valve procedures, endarterectomies and related surgeries.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care, implement and update patient care plans, and monitor patient conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, document physician and nursing orders, and coordinate discharge planning.
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and recovery expectations.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Two years of recent related nursing experience (external applicants) or less with orientation completion (internal applicants).

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
