RN – Cardiac Stepdown

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5 East Cardiac Stepdown Unit at Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida. This PRN position provides acute telemetry and medical care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families about care and recovery.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale certification.
